What can we do to consciously shape our future? Felix Gottwald, Austria's most successful Olympic athlete, answered this question for our guests at our Meet & Greet together with netzeffekt

Change needs repetition

Well known, but often forgotten: The brain learns through repetition. Sounds bland, but it's a relatively practical thing. Having to constantly do or design everything differently is draining. Repetition also gives us structure and an overview in a world that is changing ever faster, according to Gottwald.

Promoting attention

What many people don't know: You can consciously promote your own attention. And it's surprisingly easy to do. Felix Gottwald names three points:

  • Sit down with maximum body tension
  • Breathe consciously in order to be tense and relaxed.
  • Look with childlike enthusiasm

Bring about change

According to Gottwald, anyone who wants to make specific changes should live by the answers to the following three questions:

  • When is the right time for change? Now.
  • Who is the most important person? The person who is opposite me right now. Then encounter happens.
  • What is the most important thing to do? To do what we do with heart.

Felix Gottwald's motivation worked: the former Nordic combined athlete managed to get all the guests at the event up out of their chairs and moving together.
